Iggy Pop – Funtime
From the counter

Blondie only had this one on a live radio tape, but the original belongs to Iggy Pop, who wrote it with Bowie. Follow him and you get two doors for the price of one.

Bowie's name is on Funtime, but Iggy Pop co-wrote it and sang it first, in 1977, and R.E.M. and Blondie both went back to it later. Put Iggy's original next to The Cars' take and you can hear exactly what they borrowed.
